Once the blinds are on the poker table, the dealer may distribute two cards to each poker player one by one. These cards are face down, only the player who is owning them, can see them (we call it the started hand).
Once the cards are dealt, it's the player located to the left of the big blind, to talk. This poker player has different possibilities:
He decided to continue the hand (call): then he will put the same amount as the previous player, $ 2 (for example, he has to call the big blind). It means also that the player has an interesting game and wants to go one step further in that hand.
It doesn’t want to play (fall): Their cards are not interesting at all, and he decided to await the next hand and therefore not lose chips. For the other players, the fact to fall increases the probabilities to win the poker game.
The player wants to play more (raise): His cards are very interesting, so he decided to up the ante, (for example: $ 4). The raise must be at least double the current bet. Once this player has finished to talk, the next player can start to raise, fall or call and this, until the dealer. Once the dealer (dealer) has talked, the small blind can talk. He has the possibility to:
- The small blind can complete the setting required (Ex: He adds $ 3 to $ 1 to get the $ 4 required)
- He can raise again on the last raise (Ex: $ 8)
- He folds.
Finally the big blind talks, he can complete his blind or just re-raise. If no one has raised and it does not wish to raise, is can check (do not bet more but still in the game). In resume, to move to another stage of the hand, all of the
poker players have to have the same value in front of them to take part at the flop.
The Flop: After the bets are balanced, the dealer shows 3 cards in the middle of the table. WARNING, before showing the cards in the dealer has to burn a card which means that he has to leave a card, face down and throw it in the rubbish pile.. These three cards are called flop. It is through the combination of this two cards and the flop that you will estimate your hand (High or low).
After that you have another turn card and the process is the same, you can check, call, raise or fold. At the end of the end, all of the players have to have the same amount of chips in front of them on the table to have access to the next round.
After the flop, you have the turn which the process is the same and finally you have the river. At the end, if at least, 2 players are still in at the end of the river one, they have to compare their hand and the winner is the one who has the best combination.
